Easy Open Face Breakfast Sandwich


Breakfast sandwiches have been our jam lately. When we're having lazy dinners we always opt for breakfast sandwiches, cause brinner (Breakfast for dinner) is the king of all meals and because they're an easy option. They remind me of the sweet, sweet college life, when my roommate and I would eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Why? Because college students are broke, lazy and hard to impress and breakfast sandwiches are cheap, delicious and super easy to make.

I mean really, just toast some bread, slather it in butter and jelly, fry an egg and bacon and BOOM. Something about the salty and sweet, the crunchy and soft aspects makes this a breakfast for an all-star, not to be confused with an All-Star Breakfast from Waffle House- which would be so dang good right now.

But back to breakfast sandwiches. The beauty in these babies, along with the fact that they take 3 minutes to make, is that they are versatile. Use cheese, avocado, bacon, ham, tomatoes, jalapeños. Whatever your sweet heart desires!

My breakfast sandwich:

  1. Sliced toasted wheat bread

  2. Cranberry marmelade

  3. Gouda cheese

  4. Bacon

  5. Over easy egg

  6. Green onions

  7. Avacado

  8. Love. Hah! Just kidding- I always rush when cooking.
