I spent my day resting and decorating our flat for Christmas because I've waited long enough to get my Christmas on. Cue the Nat King Cole and Mariah Carey albums!
Besides all the Christmas music, decorations and relaxation, a walk around Vienna yesterday gave me so much life. A very spontaneaous walk, I might add. After a tough week, I decided to take the entire Saturday to have no schedule, no agenda and no plans. Throughout the day I discovered so many beautiful and fun nooks and crannies of Vienna that I never would have noticed had I not allowed myself to slow it down.
So here are my discoveries from yesterday's calming creativity session around Vienna.
1. Christmas Trees Around the City
The most magical time of the year has begun and it is beautiful! Seriously, if you love Christmas, Vienna should be added to your bucket list of places to visit because it does Christmas so, so right. We'll get more in depth on this later.
2. The Kleines Cafe (The Small Cafe)
It's just the coziest, sweetest, cafe tucked away in a little plaza in the first district. There was no more space available for me to sit and enjoy a coffee, so I can't vouch for the espresso but the sheer aesthetics of this place will make your heart fuzzy.
3. Ivy Walls
I've always been a sucker for ivy covered walls.
They're just so dreamy. So romantic.
4. Pretty, Colourful Windows
Because why not?? Why paint your windows pink to match the rest of the house when they can be a surprising bright blue? I like and appreciate whoever made this design choice.
5. Die Vermischte Warenhandlung (The Mixed Manufacturer)
You can find this quaint gem of a store through a little tunnel and nestled in the back of a courtyard, surrounded by ivy covered brick walls. It's filled with all kinds of knick knacks and home goods, soooo you know I love it much.
Anywho, that's all for now! Happy Sunday lovers! Keep your eyes open for the little things to love on. I hope you have a great start to the week tomorrow!
